تستقبل المكتبة المركزية مرتاديها من طلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس من كافة كليات الجامعة للتعرف على أنشطتها والخدمات التى تقدمها . وفى يوم الأربعاء الموافق 24/3/2021 حضر طلاب كلية التمريض – الفرقة الرابعة ، حيث بلغ أجمالى عددهم 32 طالباّ وطالبة تحت إشراف واحد من أعضاء هيئة تدريس والهيئة المعاونة بالكلية .
و فى بداية اللقاء رحب الدكتور موريس أبو السعد مدير المكتبة بالزوار ، حيث ألقى كلمة تناولت عرض لأهم أنشطة المكتبة وخدماتها، وقد تحدث بوجه خاص عن أهمية تكليف الطلاب بإعداد دراسات بحثية فى الموضوعات التى يرى كل عضو هيئة تدريس بالكلية أنها مهمة فى مجالات التخصص، بالتعاون مع فريق العمل المختص بالمكتبة ، تلي ذلك تقديم عرض سمعي بصري عن المكتبة ، ثم قام فريق العمل بالمكتبة بتقديم عرضاّ مباشرًا عبرالإنترنت لطرق البحث فى فهرس المكتبة المتاح على الخط المباشر، وأيضًا أساليب الدخول على قواعد البيانات الرقمية المتاحة في المكتبة، مع شرح لقواعد بيانات شركة EBSCO وتلك المتاحة ببنك المعرفة المصري (EKB) كما تناول شرح مختصر عن موقع المكتبة الإلكترونى وأنشطتها وخدماتها .
و فى ختام الزيارة، قــــام الطلاب بجولة ميدانية تم فيها التعرف على قاعات المقتنيات الورقية وبخاصة القاعة التي تقع في مجال تخصصاتهم .[:en]
SOUL welcome students and faculty members from all colleges of O6U to get acquainted with its activities and services. Faculty of Nursing attended on Wednesday, 24/3/2021. The total number of the students reached up to 32 students under the supervision of one Faculty member and their assistant .
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Maurice Abul-Saad, Director of the SOUL, welcomed the visitors. He delivered a speech on the most important activities of the library and its services specially describe the main components of a research work. , flowed by displaying audiovisual presentation on the library. The team explains the way to search in online access to the digital databases available the library was presented , especially the EBSCO databases and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB ) .
It also dealt with a brief explanation of the library’s website, activities and services along with searching in the OPAC .
At the end of the visit, the students took a tour in the library to identify the halls of the paper – based holdings, specifically those located in their fields .
